FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Deeply fascinated by fashion since childhood, a young Dea Kudibal was eager to learn the craftsmanship of design and sewing. She turned to leading creators of the industry with her sketchbooks and her persistence finally payed off when she was admitted sewing costumes at a theatre. Pursuing her passion, Dea moved to London where she received a BA in Fashion Management from the prestigious London College of Fashion.
Ambitious and with a dream to inspire and empower through quality and design, Dea started a smal scale business designing and sewing exclusive scarves and shawls. Her eye for quality and the innate sense of colour and print soon made er designs extremely popular.
Back in Copenhagen in 2003, she founded DEA KUDIBAL, which later expanded into the brand we know today - A brand that is continuously fuelled by Dea's passion for flattering design and craftsmanship and which has successfully captured the hearts of stylish women across the world.
About the brand
The brand Dea Kudibal was founded in 2003 with a collection of exclusive scarves and shawls made from vintage fabrics. Spring 2008 saw the launch of the first Dea Kudibal clothing line with feminine prints, playful colors and flattering silhouettes as the brands DNA. As the brand developed, the stretch silk quality has become a signature for Dea Kudibal. The luxury of the quality, along with the great durability has made the stretch silk an essential part of every collection. A fascination for the ethnic culture has always been a part of the brands identity, hence the exclusive materials and refined handmade details such as embroidery and beadings. The look is sophisticated, luxurious and feminine but still with eye-catching details. The collections give you the opportunity to create your Dea Kudibal look weather it is feminine, edgy or casual. Each season new unique and exclusive prints are designed with love in Copenhagen. From developing the artwork and perfecting the colors, to making the final touches, every single print plays a part in the telling of a poetic tale.
