Madame Butterfly
"I love the mix of Eastern and Western influences. Madame Butterfly is a beautiful and poignant depiction of this. Catherine Deneuve’s wardrobe in Indochine is the perfect example of Western style in an Asian setting. Timeless, strong and elegant.”

Winter 25 / Pre Spring 26
For Winter 25 and Pre-Spring 26, Dea Kudibal draws inspiration from two powerful cultural references - Puccini’s opera Madame Butterfly and the award-winning film Indochine. Both explore the meeting of East and the west. The result is a rich and romantic wardrobe defined by emotion and elegance.
Winter 25
For Winter 25, the graceful tragedy of Madame Butterfly is reimagined through design details drawn from traditional Japanese dress. Kimono sleeves, obi-style belts and sculptural silhouettes meet rich European fabrics and contemporary tailoring. Signature prints include ginkgo leaves, symbols of resilience and oversized camellias, reflecting inner strength. Eveningwear evokes the romance of the opera house, with floral devoré velvet, gold lamé jacquards and intricate beading bringing drama and depth.

Pre-Spring 26
Pre-Spring 26 takes its cue from Indochine, set in colonial Vietnam and starring Catherine Deneuve as a woman whose Parisian style is transformed by her surroundings. This season channels a refined East-meets-West aesthetic, with delicate 1930s florals, artistic lotus blossoms, and graphic Art Deco-inspired monograms. Tailored pieces like wide-leg trousers and belted blazers are softened by lingerie-inspired details, while white-stitched denim nods to traditional Vietnamese workwear in a modern, minimal way.
Together, these collections form a poetic story of contrasts…of strength and softness, past and present, East and West, expressed through thoughtful design, powerful prints, and refined silhouettes.
